Blue blobs and streaks represent ice.

Winter Haute Couture

Oddly enough, this bear hat seems to be a big hit with the blokes.

Just when I though I couldn't like frat boys with "Scarface" posters on their walls any less, I finally watched "Scarface". What's the big deal with this movie? Tony Montana had no redeeming qualities! Nothing to root for! All he did was be an asshole who couldn't start his own drug ring so had to kill Frank Lopez to take his! All he did after that was become more of an asshole and waste lots of water in overly large bathtubs until finally the drug lords who actually knew what they were doing decided to kill him proper! Also, if he sees his sister after she's been to clown school, he shoots lasers out of his eyes with appropriate and hilarious sound effects. I could not find any reason for any person, be it frat boy or not, to have any interest in Tony Montana. Yeah, he's tough. Yeah, he's shoots people and does drugs. That's the only thing I could find that may be considered "cool". If undercutting the people that brought you up and were loyal to you is cool. Basically, this movie was just much better when Brian DePalma re-made his own film as "Carlito's Way". Lasers!

Now, I've heard of hurricane relief, tsunami relief, tornado relief, even hunger relief. But I've never heard of anything like what they were collecting for at the grocery store today:

Stove Woes

Possibly the worst part about being sick is the boredom, which is aggravated by the illness. Anticipating not being able to make it to work tomorrow, today I forced myself to go to the library to pick up the first season of "Monk". Walking was giving me motion sickness. I saw this on the way home.

The Current Temperature...

...Inside My Body.

That's celsius.

Saturday night, farthest point from more work and I'm sick. And not my regular everyday kind of sickness. An honest to goodness cold. Very uncool.

Waddaya know? Finally a sign of health!

I hate you.

To the theme of "Three's Company":

Family in 226: Don't come knock on our door
We're oblivious to you
Where the squealing is hers and hers and his
We don't care about you.

Me in 217: I'm gonna dance on your face
Make a move with some Mace
I've a very big grave that needs your babe
I want to kill you.

Why don't some people understand the concept of apartment buildings and how there are not whole patches of land between our front doors. That letting your squealing kid squeal 3 feet from my door is not okay?! I hate you people!!!

On an Evening in Roma

Today I bought a new beautiful phone. I'd like to say it was the only phone that I've ever fallen in love with, but that would be a flat out lie, as I have fallen in love with many a phone in my time. Regardless of whether they were in working condition or not. Now I have to wait for the first time 12 hour charge up of the battery. In the mean time, myself and the nancer are trying to find a vacation we can afford to take together. I want to go to Rome. I want to boot around small streets on scooters and have a reason to do my hair and wear lipstick. I want to hear men speaking Italian and eating foods I don't recognize. I want out of my regular life, but not in a suicide way. Therefore, vacation is the answer. So far however, we've only been able to find something affordable to Florida. I'm so sick of having Rome dreams and Florida realities.
